Purposes and Objectives
From the LPAE Constitution:
"The purposes and objectives of this Association shall be: to advance public education in Lafayette Parish; to advance the standards and working conditions of the teaching profession; to secure dignity and rights of citizenship status for all members; to defend and protect the human and civil rights of all members; to secure those conditions which are necessary and desirable to promote the service of teachers and schools; to have and to hold funds and property and to give and take title thereto; and to do all other lawful things in furtherance of these purposes."
